Hello All,
We have admin1. 6 fix 4 & global 3.5, pdms 12.1 sp5, we are at hub location.
File size of transaction database becomes large hence we wants to recreate the transaction database
We did following steps,
1) Expunged all users from admin and closed all open db files.
2) Locked project
3) stopped global hub daemon
3) renamed transaction db
4) started global hub daemon again
However after clicking start batch file we are getting below error message in console window
"Cannot open new file %abc000%/abc101_0001
Cannot find/open transaction database
Has the database transaction/hub been created? "
Can anybody please guide if we are missing any step for this transaction database recreation process?

Yes, we did purge/merge transaction database and able to ping hub and satellite locations.
However I am bit surprised why these recreation of transaction database is throwing error now when using admin1. 6 & pdms 12.1 sp5. Earlier when we were in pdms 12.1sp4 we used recreate transaction database very easily. ?
Will you please guide.
If purge/merge do work ok I cannot see why deleting/recreating the transaction db
Anyway, if it did work with a previous version and now it doesn't, I would suggest to open a Support Incident on the Aveva Support Website
