Change location from on-line to off-line and back

Hi, does somebody have experience with switching on-line location to off-line and back to on-line causing some issues ?
This switching was advised me to solve another issue, but currently after this trick was used I can?t allocate new databases to that location.
Any ideas are welcomed.
