Is it possible to subtract volume from a tube in a pipe by using catalogue with negative geometry? Is there other way of subtracting volume from an implied tube in a pipe?

I am trying to show a vent made from the end of tube cut 45
As far as I know it is not possible. Why do you need such level of detail? I mean the hole....
Regarding 45deg cut , you can use Pipe Fabrication End Preparation tool
I will look into Pipe Fabrication end Preparation tool
Earlier I tried to create a PCOM with Negative SSLCYLINDER but apparently that does not work.
Our client wants to see the actual 45 shape in the Model thats why adding an attachment with text is not enough.
Thank you very much for the reply
Of course you can use negative primitives in Paragon!
Just check NAPP attribute
Hi,
give the ATTA the design of the 45° cut. (created for all NPS)
-> cutting length are not correct then
regards
Siggi
I think it only works with structural catalogue.. i cannot input a Negative geometric set for piping components. I also tried to input the Napp attribute of 7 in the LCYL owning the negative primitive but it does not subtract implied tubing.
Is the attached image the mentioned End preparation tool?
I think our current project setup does not include database related to this tool because of missing /SLANTEDPIPEEND/80
Can I request for references on how to setup the end preparation tool?
After reading the TM-2229 Piping Fabrication I saw that End Preparation tool adds a FTUB fixed length tube to the branch.. Does the face to face length of the FTUB gets added to the implied tube length in isometric?
Since our project is not configured to use fabricated pipe end tool, I created a new FTUB piping catalogue with skey TUBE and with para 3 and para 4 TUB. When the detail text of the FTUB SPCO is set to be identical with the detail text of the piping implied tube, the face-to-face length of the FTUB is now added to the implied tube cut pipe length in the isometric drawing
Sorry for late reply.. thanks for the suggestion but our client needs the cutting length to be correct
