How to edit Read-Only SPEC

You have to ask to your Aveva Administrator.

I am an AVEVA Administrator only, I want to disable READ ONLY feature of the SPEC to add components through SPECIFICATION EDIT.

So being an Aveva Administrator you must know that there could be at least four reasons:

1. The Aveva User doesn't belong to the team that have write access to the spec database
2. The spec database is a foreign one
3. The spec lock attribute is set to true
4. Project DAC is on and the user is not allowed to modify that spec

Double check the above list and let us know if you solved the issue

Yes, I am aware about all these mentioned. I logged in as a SYSTEM (Free) user, and SYSTEM user is part of all the teams in Admin module. I checked it's locked attribute, It is FALSE. Data Access Control is ON, But SYSTEM user is not assigned to any ACR.

But as you correctly said, It's foreign database. May be that's why, It's read only.
