New Bolting Method - Number of washer for Buterfly valve

Hello experts,

I have a buterfly valve where the assembly with bolt should be as follow ;

16 hexagonal bolts

8 washer pairs

While extraction of the isometric for the pipe. The quantity of the washer is not correct. The output is 16 pairs of washer instead of 8.

Is there a way to rectify this please?

In the bolt spec, i have included the bolt and washer with Bsel B

  • Hello, you can configure it in the Bolt Table Utilities..

    Navigate to the Bolt table SBOL element referenced in the BLTREF of your Bolt SPCO item (/CIV.BOLT.SPEC_PN16/PN16_MACH-M16_BUTF) and open it in the Bolt Table Utilities..
    Go to the Single Bolting tab in the Bolt Table Utilities form,
    Check if the currently selected SBOL in the form is the one referenced in your Bolt SPCO item.
    Then in the lower part of the form, you can select one of the WASH item,
    then click the "Delete Item" button, (note: be careful not to mis-click the "Delete Bolt" button nearby.)
    and then click "Apply" button.
    Example screenshot from the training manual. In the example below, there are two washers that will be added per each bolt.

    Normally, you will also need to do this on the other SBOL items in the same BLIS hierarchy.

    I believe that Bolting catalogue is one of the trickier parts of the Piping Catalogue and I would strongly recommend you to seek the advice first of a experienced catalogue person in your team or contact the admin who manages your AVEVA E3D catalogue standards.

  • Thanks Emmanuel, the item list in the SBOl was correct. It was the SDTE of the SPCO in the bolting spec that should be name as Washer instead of washer pairs.
