MDSAUTONAME form code does read variable declaration as what you intend to do and doesn't accept spaces in between also. It will just look for the keyword PREFIX, INDEX & so on then get the value after \. ZONE name is possible as shown below but for the PIPE, I'm not sure or can't be at all unless you modified the MDSAUTONAME macro that will suits your requirements.

    Prefix \$!!mdsOptions.site.val
    Index \ 89
    Suffix \
    IWidth \ 4
    MinIndex \ 0
    MaxIndex \ 9999

Why would you need the PIPE name for the Support Name? By practice, you should assign the all pipe support ZONE to the specific Support Naming File in the attribute :MDSAUTOFILE.

I would like to use support attribute "Dtxrtext" as the prefix. Does anyone know what the syntax would be?

Have you already found the answer for this query and which version are you using, PDMS or E3D?
