New bolting - is it worth the trouble?

This is on my to-do list.  If you have used this new bolting - which gives you quite a bit flexibilities - please post some thoughts and comments here.

I am thinking about adding/converting the existing catalog using new bolting.  It maybe a bigger task than I can handle with current work load.

Just want some pros-cons before embarking on this.
