  • In my many years of cats/specs work, I have yet to build an API spec, until now.

Can someone post an abbreviated sample spec?  What I am looking for are TUBE, ELBO, REDU, TEE, FLAN (everything else can be derived from those).

One question is how the PBORs are supposed to be set.  You have ASME B36.10 pipe with the NPS convention vs the API nominal size, which do not match.  How are these harmonized?

Not only that, the small diameter dimension of the flanges change when you change pressure ratings in API 6A, but remaim constant in whatever pressure class under ASME B16.5.

Do you have to have special API pipe and fitting catalog elements to accomodate the API sizes?

This whole thing is very confusing and I am sure this kind of thing has cropped up somewhere before.  Any help is welcome.
