Copying SPEC /A and Creating New Spec /B thru DBlisting

What will be the consequences if i create new spec /B by
copying other spec /A thru

1. DBlist spec /A
2. Using Context Find /A Replace by /B
3. Run in Command line $M /directory

Not much but you will also need the same catalog items in the project for New Spec /B

Why do that? Why not use the specon way of creating a new spec, which is the way it is done. See specon manual.

run in specon it will be easy and legal procedure further it wont create any problems

If /A and /B are in the same project you just need to type on the command line:

NEW SPEC /B COPY /A RENAME /A /B

I can't understand the Specon manual
Because i was trained with different approach

For me this is the easiest way, since the spec is from same project.

I'll study the specon manual though, if time allows,
its just that this case is so ASAP.

Application has exited while enetring into specon module. pls guide me what are the reasons
