Specon is stuck somewhere in the defaults line.
Typing QUIT etc gets (47,15) CP: Syntax error message

To continue you need to complete the defaults line.

Try typing a minus sign (-) and return
If you get the * prompt you are done and continue with normal Specon commands
If you get (47,62) CP: Incomplete command line Message
Try typing two minus signs (- -) and return

I usually find that 2 minuses are enough. if not then repeat (with an extra minus each time) until the * prompt appears.

    QUIT Commands probably force exit.

Is this creating some problem small guess.

Terminate is the option usually works with specon module.

That is Isuria's problem, None of the normal commands will work until you complete the defaults line

EXIT - is not for exiting from module, EXIT can help to stop execution of wrong code
