Hi,
getting a kerror 559 when trying to add a component to a spec (currently residing in limbo).
from the error codes attachment I know that error 559 is 'Element does not belong to db given'
While this is probably defines what the problem is, it also appears to be of limited use in fixing the problem.
can anyone shed some light on exactly what this error is and potential causes/fixes please
Regards
Randalf

Is the limbospec you try to include from in another database?
PDMS cannot include elements from other databases, as that would require a reference change of the element.

Hi,
A qualified no, as it shouldn't be from another database.
the items were removed from a given database and, presumably, were moved to the appropriate limbospec for that database.
now when trying to retrieve them into the same database that they came from, the kerror 559 is encountered.
Despite IT saying otherwise, I'm starting to suspect that some database work has been done over the holiday weekend.
