Backgroud:
Global PDMS project.
Error at Satellite having Windows 2003 SP1 Standard Edition Server.
Affect:
All users go in hang mode and then exit from application of its own.
YES, both the Daemon the running.
All DBs are local in INPPFIL002 Server based in india.
I beleive GLOBAL DAEMON and SATELLITE DAEMON do not play any role for this kind of problem.
Daemons are used only for maitaining replicas of the DBs at INDIA OFFICE and GLOBAL project office at Camberley.
First, these errors were recorded in the LOG Files.
Later the same error MCD: 64 appeared in the command input & output console window of the user and then user was thrown out from the application.
Many a times here PDMS is dead slow and then all users are thrown out from the application.
At Server no errors in EVENT VIEW;
Server is pingable and monitered, no loss of connectivity / dropping connectivity;
Network Switch has been restarted;
Server has been rebooted.
But there is no chnage in the performance of the PDMS. Pattern is not defined. But as soon as all 60 users login into the PDMS, it hangs first and then many are thrown out of the application.
I'm not asking if the daemons are running, but if the daemon is running on the same machine as where the databases are located. I have doubts, since the log file referes to P:\... and not C:\... or D:\...
