    10   'Invalid external reference'
Now above is the error, now what caused the error...... maybe this helps. Try and see if all paths are correctly set in the start up batch file. The second thing is to check the DB's in Admin for errors. Also see of all db's you would like the report from are in the MDB selected when logging in.

    Navigate to the element =17655/3139070
Take a DBLIST of the element
Delete the element. Do SAVEWORK this will resolve your issue. You can restore the dblisted element.

Thanks prashantuparkar for your suggestion. But your comment cannot solve my problem. If I navigate the element the application (PDMS)  exit. Thanks again.

Thanks. I will study on how to reconfigure the database. One thing I learned about this error, If the network connection is unstable you will come up to this problem when saving your work especially in large project. And if you're disconnected this will happen, the invalid reference. Thanks Again.

Element =25847/1022564 has invalid owner =17655/3214999

This errors are one of the worst errors.............they dont go through patch........you need to reconfigure the database

The other erros are ok.......they wont cause any problem..........

you dont have to reconfigure this, you only have to recreate the owner with the reference given. Jump to the element which is missing the owner, if pdms crashes check the command line what type the element was you can see it there then reenter pdms and recreat the missing owner. savework and go to admin and patch the db. the element will be added to the owner again and you can jump on it at design again and do whatever you want to do.

no reconfigure needed for those errors. Solved this kind of error in one project a 100 times because the users always made it to kill the extracts somehow...

hate it that i am not able to edit my postings btw...

if cou check the command line you can see that the element was a bran. So the owner should be a pipe. so you know the owner typ and the reference which the pipe had.

create a pipe with this ref and then patch the db and it is fixed.
