recent i have this error. when i enter Design module.
i try all ways in Forum , but did not work
so i update my driver of Display card, and it is works.

btw: do not install 12.1sp4 and 12.1sp5 together on you computer.
It is often difficult to track splash errors, but I can assure you that having sp4 and sp5 installed on the same machine is not the reason!
Are there any messages in the console when the error occurs? If so, can you please send a screen shot of it?
It could also be a database problem. Have you tried a vanilla APS project? Does that work or are you still getting the same error?
sir, i reinstall pdms and run pdms.bat , this error appeared.
but i run the link on the desktop , ...pdms.bat noconsole . it is ok

so i uninstall all pdms version and repair the regedit.exe and install only pdms12.1sp4 , it is ok
you are right , i think some DLL link in registry has error.
Is the problem occurred in Draft, if yes check in aspects of True Type Fonts.
