  • We have only had PDMS installed on the server, and this has saved me a lot of time. On some network segments in our office the users experienced that PDMS was slow so then I just made a local installation for them(copied the installation folder from the server). The users did not have to do any changes to their workstation installation, as I had made the batch files intelligent. The users could still start PDMS fro the batch file on the server.

Let's take this only step by step.

To make a server installation I normally install PDMS on my own workstation and then copy the installation folder to a network share. I have never needed to install anything directly on the server. The copying thing has worked fine for me.
Make sure you also install global at the same time before copying the installation to the server.

When you have done the above, you could inform me and also tell the network path to where you have copied the PDMS installation, so we can start modifying some batch files.
