Please let me know what is meant by XPM and how to install it AND steps to follow after that to install PDMS 11.6 in Windows 7 PC as i am facing the same problem with my PC.
Since I've joined PDMSWORLD forum I've seen posts like these:
Generally the wise thing to do is to use the recommended platform because as a common user we do not realise the background processes.
The advantages is that typical components that are basically needed by the software (to work correctly) are available. And it works hassle free.
Now when you do this kind of stuff, you do not know whether every need is fulfilled or not. So when the problem will arise there will be little or
no support and you might end up chewing nails!
A simple example though not associated with PDMS...in VBA there's method application.filesearch which is available in office 2003 but not in 2007
onwards versions. So obviously you will have to find work around this if you have used it. But to begin with, the code may drive you nuts as you
would be thinking that : this worked well in 2003 then why not in 2007.
That is a typical ideology we carry as layman: the latest is the best...!
