can anyone please tell that PDMS12.0 SP5 & SP6 versions are compatible with windows 8 or not? My organisation is upgrading the OS to win8 and it is necessary to test PDMS compatibility with it.
If you upgrade to windows 8 and pdms is not supported on this platform then surely the company licence is invalid......! in which case you have no right to ask about pdms problems.
Thank you all for the responses.
@Corrado : can you please tell any of the issue which probably i can face with PDMS12.0SP6 if i upgrade my OS to windows 8???
I want to ask a triva question about different version of OS. Suppose we are doing upgrages with many PCs from XP to Win7, can we have different OS reading the same project and making changes to them? We have all the Project DBs are hosting on a file server and the clients are working on workstation. What is the worse thing that can happen to such a phase we are to undergo while in the process of upgrading PC OSs?
nerdy..
@Nerdy: If the PDMS version is same then you can change/modify the project data by using either of the OS windows XP or Win7.
currently We are working in this setup.
