PDMS job Rquirements

Hi there
I want to migrate to OZ as permanent resident within 4 months later. I search and surf on a job requirement agencies and see many job with require piping engineer with PDMS base knowledge.
What does a company expect that a Piping engineer (who know PDMS) do?
Is his work is the same as Piping Designer?
(I know that piping engineer would be involve in piping layout as well)

Where is OZ?  You maybe the wizard of OZ if you go there.

Piping engineer/Piping designer are loosely defined terms.  From what I experience, they are the same thing.  

In USA, however, piping engineer does not do detail layout work, it is left to designers, whereas some places they call some young guns piping engineer and make them model in PDMS.

Different regions are different.

Comparing with our organization setup in Perth office, I think they are looking somebody who has knowledge in Piping Material and PDMS Administration. Piping Design and Piping Stress are normally done by others.

However,its related to the compnay that you work for them.
I saw many company that seperated the activity of Designers & modelers and also saw some companies that expected from employer for doing both activity together.its depends on the company & its not follow as a general rule.

Generaly you shall check terms of condition carefully.
