    Hi all there,

i have a problem and havent found something so far. when i start pdms there is always a message in the dos-shell, sgl error ..... The problem is that when i try to make a negative cone in a dish for my vessel, it doesn´t appear. It looks like a graphic bug when i try.. Does anybody knows what to do

    greetings Stefan

Is this on all the same computers that run PDMS or just with yours only?

Assuming you remembered to switch holes on, does the cone show with shading off?

It is just possible that you may need to extend the cone beyond the limits of the dish.

You mention you install pdms on other computers but this one has the problem, just a thought but do you also have to run/install the fixes as well on each machine?

Its only one computer. The other computers doesn´t have this problem.
:), no its not a problem with creating negativ volumes, i have proofed this. The question is, what is sgl and what is diffrent to the other computers. I have installed pdms on all computers the same way. I cannot remember that i have made something diffrent to the other computers.

    White Dragon,

I don't think I'll be much of help here. But I googled for quick reference.

SGL refers to Scene Graph Libraries.
They are directly associated with OpenGL card that is used for PDMS graphics. So it is apparent that there's some snag with your Graphic Card.

Just check if all the 3 W/Stations have the same configuration.

And how do you pronounce "Österreich"? :)

Yeah the question I was going to ask is this computer using ATI or NVidia graphics card?  If it's an ATI card, there lies your problem.  AVEVA recommends NVidia cards for PDMS.

I think in this case SGL is an AVEVA acronym for one of the internal Graphics Libraries (if I recall correctly the S is "Structured") - but yes it is close to the graphics card, so that is a possibility - but not certain.
