    Hi Friends,

I am using the PDMS 12 SP5 with the machine configuration as follows :

System details :    MS Windows XP Professional SP3 ,

AMD athlon Dual core processor 5000B, 2.61 GHz and 2GB of RAM

                                        256 GB Hard disk

    Graphic Card details :

    NVIDIA Quadro

    FX 380LP  Single Monitor , Screen Size  @1280x1024   and memory  256Mb ........

Now, My project is having about  60-65  SITES ,.............

My problem is my machine is too slow. i don't how to control it / to increase the perofrmance.......... Even though if i add 2 to 3 sites  also the system is too slow.......... It's taking more than an hour time to complete a pipe / branch / to create a platform  .............. Can anyone suggest me how can i resolve this or how can i come out of this problem.....?

Even i tryed by chaning the graphic card to   nVidia Quadro FX 1700 and memory  512Mb also ........ but there is no use.

    Regards,
    Naresh

Can you send a screenshot of PDMS to show what you have in the drawlist?

    Hi Naresh,
In the first Aveva training that we had, we were told NOT to keep AUTO clash option ON (which looks to me, pl. confirm). It generally slows down as your each move needs recomputing for clash checking purpose. The best foot forward was to design line based on your study and then clash check it to resolve.

K,Thanks for your reply guys.............my model does not contain not that much polyhedrons  but it contains many sections, equipments with basic primitives and lot of pipe lines .......as i told you it's a big project with many sites and zones............I checked with AUTO clash option OFF
also but there is no change in perofrmance............

    Sorry for the late reply..............

    Regards,
    Naresh

I was just working on a PC today with a Quadro FX 3450 card, also dead slow.
After i installed and configured the correct driver speed was perfect!
So please check your driver and your settings.
