Strange errors in Draft PDMS 12.1

  • Try adding at least one True Type font to your project:

    Admin Module----->Project---->Font Families ---->TrueType Fonts
  • I hope someone out there can help me with this. I am getting a SEVERITY 2 ( FAILS ) ERROR 68 LOCATION FE GW5A16 GQUTXS AND GQUTXE when I go into draft. The draft module comes up, BUT does not display down in the task bar. The error window appears in the task bar but not the Draft screen. I can get the draft screen to appear in the task bar if I go to Task manager and select the running draft program right click and select bring to front. The windows operating system is windows 7 Enterprise Service pack 1 64 bit operating system. Anyone else experiencing this or have a clue what is going on?

    Thanks,
    Frank
  • Hi Corrado,

    Thank you for your reply. It fixed the error. Thank you very much! I really don't understand why?? I had built TrueType fonts under Admin when we setup draft. I built Arial, Arial Black, and RomanS. I went back in and built a RomanD font and let the system assign the Font number. It gave the new Font a number 5. This worked. However when I tried to assign a Font number the error wouldn't go away. How knows?! I am just very happy you knew what the problem was and replied to my post.

    Many Thanks!

  • I'd like to add to Franklmc's comments about Font.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.
    There basically 2 types of Fonts, 1 PDMS fonst and 2 TrueType Fonts.  Corrado had show how to set it in Admin and will be used across DRAFT module.

    Here is my problem.  If we use TrueType Fonts (example Font 5), the special charater will now show up.  Like if we use ~C, a centerline should appear but other charater show up, or #< Underline on the text should show up, but the whole string of text will disappear.  The annoying thing is, when a DRWG is set with FONT to 5 (TrueType Font) PDMS Fonts cannot be applied to the other element (example LDIM DFON 1 will not work).  While this is the way it works, at least the special charaters should show up.  Have we hit a bug on PDMS 12.1 SP2.23?

    Can you comment please.
