Yes in the sense that it's working but not in the sense that I'm happy with the solution.
We found a PDMS machine that was working in terms of plotviewer and copied the PLOT directory off the C drive to the other machines.
This did the trick and would suggest that there was some kind of access rights problem with the machines but careful investigation of the attributes on the directory didn't turn up anything of note.
