Hi,

I´m new to working with Citect Scada v7.20, I wonder if it is possible to import the drives of another project. I only have de DLL and DBf file of the drive.

Thank you

  • I have copy the dll and dbf drive files to the bin directory, and the drive still does not appear in the IO device list. What can I be doing wrong?

    Thank you

  • Hi Almeida,

I assume you were talking about DLL and DBF files of certain 'drivers'.

Please verify first that you can not find an installer for the driver you want to use, because that provides a safe and easy way to install a driver. All generic drivers should be on DriverWeb, and if not, you can ask Support for the version you are looking for.

To install a driver manually, you must follow these steps (all files mentioned are in the BIN directory):
    1. Copy the driver's DLL and DBF file to the BIN directory
    2. Add a record to PROTDIR.DBF and fill in the correct values for all fields !!
    3. If the driver generates special driver errors, then add those to PROTERR.DBF
    3. Add a record to HELP.DBF and fill in the correct values for the fields
    4. If you want to be able to select the driver in the Express Communications Wizard, then add 1 or more records to EXPRWIZ.DBF and if the driver is a 'board' type driver then add a record to EXPRBRD.DBF

Again, only use these steps if you can not find an installable driver (EXE file) as it is easy to make a mistake.
