Description Event & Historian Services stopping due to frozen event log:
It turns out this is a known bug introduced by Spk4 for Win2000. There is a HF available and i have requested this from Microsoft (they have advised it will take them 2-3 days to email it?!?) so we can post it somewhere and make it available to any customers suffering from this problem. In the meanwhile the workaround is simply to empty the event log and kick things off again. Microsoft intend to add this hotfix to Spk5 but there is no release date for this yet.
