Description You will need this if you are making frequent SQLExec statements from within Citect v5.21.
Problem Summary: I am running a Citect V5.21 project which has Cicode that performs frequent SqlExec statements to an Access MDB file. After running the project for a prolonged length of time NT reported that my system had run out of Virtual Memory & had to shutdown.
Solution: Citect V5.21 installs 2 new Data Access tools automatically, Borland Database Engine ( provides connections to DBF files) & Microsofts Jet 4.0 ODBC drivers, part of the functionality of the Jet drivers allows up to establish an ODBC DSN connection between Citect & an Access MDB file. The source of the problem was traced to the version of the Jet 4.0 drivers shipped with Citect V5.21, these are drivers that were supplied by Microsoft, there is an updated install set for these drivers which adresses the above problem & stops the continuous increase in memory. This updated install set also came from Microsoft, the file Mdac_typ.exe (v2.1.2) This is a self installing executable, run it then restart your PC & Citect Runtime.
