The Shell for Windows is a system tool to startup Windows directly with CitectSCADA.
This tool prevents the user to access the Windows desktop. The new Shell will automatically startup with CitectSCADA to secure the system.
You can switch back to the original Windows environment at any time (protected by a password).
The Citect Shell starts automatically with CitectSCADA on startup. When you close CitectSCADA you will see the Citect Shell.
The new Shell has simply 2 Buttons, one to start CitectSCADA and the other to shutdown Windows. Normally the Citect Shell startup directly with CitectSCADA. In some cases you may want to start a second application (E.g. PC Anywhere). To do this, assign the other application in the 'Startup Programs' fields.
The Citect Shell is protected by a serial number. The unregistered demo version will display a message every 2 minutes.
