Converts 2-byte Trends to 8-byte Format

Version
1.1.2

Requirements
Any Citect Version

Description
CitectSCADA v5.31 and later support 8-byte trend data files in addition to the original 2-bytes-per-sample format. This allows LONG and REAL (floating point) variables to be recorded without loss of precision. Existing history files normally must be deleted before switching to the 8-byte format. This utility (as mentioned in Citect Knowledge Base article Q3075) upgrades existing data files to the 8-byte format so they do not need to be deleted and existing history is preserved.

Two-byte periodic and event trends from all CitectSCADA versions up to and including v8.x are supported.

After installing the utility, run it and click the Help button for instructions.

VB source code is included.

v1.1.2   Fixed bug that could cause the source files to be overwritten by corrupt 8-byte files instead of creating new 8-byte files in a new folder. Filename list can now be scrolled, although individual files cannot be selected.

v1.01.001 All folders under the selected folder are also converted; an error log is displayed if needed
