How to get a calculated value from datalink back into PiVision

I'm trying to get a motor run hours meter display for Pi Vision, but all I have to work with is a tag that returns "running" when the motor is running. I don't know how to do that.

I am able to use data link to calculate total hours that a motor is on, using In data link's "time filtered" calculation, but I don't see a way to import that into PiVision. 2 questions:

  1. is there a way to import the value from datalink to PiVision
  2. Is there a way to do the calculation in PiVision?

  • To follow up on this, we have some vibration sensor fed into Pi, and are able to display time based data, but alot of the useful vibration data comes when looking at it in the frequency domain. Vibration monitoring software typically uses FFT (fast Fourier transforms). I'm curious if anyone has found a way to use Pi Vision or Asset framework to do there calculations
