Interesting Research Papers

As you all know, OSIsoft prizes academic achievement and strive to support it whenever we can.  To that end, I've been thinking that others would be interested in the whitepapers on how to remotely monitor transportation assets that I have been reviewing and collecting.  Although many of the approaches could be universal, some are very specific to modal types.  Many of the papers assume a deep scientific knowledge, so YES, math is required to extract significant value. But for most of you, that won't be a problem.  I must admit that it’s been too long for me to digest some of it in its entirety.

Copyrights can be tricky business, even for those with good intentions. I am doing my best to get needed permissions to post the papers before posting them, in addition to meeting the terms of use from the source.  Where possible, I will send the links to the published works so that current terms of use are applied.  Still in some cases where the author has shared directly with me, it’s hard to track down and get official permission documents without knowing if and where they were published, so some forgiveness or adjustments may be required.

There are some Scholarly Sharing Sites which can be useful resources.  ResearchGate, Academia.edu, and Mendeley are some more notable ones.

Maybe you have a stash of whitepapers you've been collecting as well.  If you have any whitepapers, you'd like to see included let me know.  We'll work to get them posted.  If you have ideas for new research and may be able to sponsor ongoing efforts with leading academic institutions, also let me know.  The OSIsoft Academic Team may be able to connect you to the right folks to talk to and support the efforts.
