Is there any way to create Sub-flowsheet in Pro II

Hello,

I would like to know if there is any way to creat subflowsheet in Pro II?

I have 2 - system in my big simulation. I start with section 1 and section 1's product goes to section 2. I would like not to run the section 2 and 3 from the beginning. is there any way?

I know Hysis Sub-flowsheet might help in this case.

Thanks.

  • Yes you can. Put a block Diagram in the simulation and give it a name. Highlight all the unit operations and streams that belong to that subFlowsheet. Cut. Double click on the block it will open the subflowsheet. Paste. You can switch to the main flowsheet and repeat creating a second block for the second subflowhseet. And third, and fourth ... If you miss a unit operation you can always cut/paste it at any time. New operations can be added directly to the subflowsheet. Go to the main FLowhseet. You probably have now boxes only. Right click the second box. Disable it. Then the third, disable it, etc. When you run, only the first one will run. Now that you have finished the first one right click on the outlet streams and with right click do an "Update Stream Data". You can now disable the first block and enable the second block. Run now. the first block is bypassed and you will only run the second one. Wen you are ready to run all of them, enable them all. These instructions work for PRO/II 9.3.1 and above. To see an example open "Casebook_VCM_Plant.prz" in the Documents\SimSci\PROIIxx\Applib directory (xx is 93 or 94) If you need further help contact Support.SimSci@Schneider-Electric.com.
