AVEVA Americas is hosting a solution webinar series that will launch on June 17th, 11:30 AM Central. These webinars are intended to target both customers and prospects. Held on Wednesdays throughout 2009, these informative presentations will keep you up-to-date on AVEVA’s latest innovations.
I signed up and got a registration email, and how to access the seminar.
If I were Aveva, I would have used something like Webex that is more reliable. Well because the time zone difference I doubt I will be up in the middle of the night attending...
We have to give Aveva America credit for trying something new. Getting the users to know their software makes good business sense. I hope they also leave some time for Q&A.
I've seen the Subjects, but it seems to be only a simple overall demostration of the products, not something to learn.
I'd follow the webminars of CADWorx and they are really interesting, not only marketing or publicity of the product.
It will be more interesting , I think, to show the new features module by module,as I'd just seen in the Italian AVEVA Day, where AVEVA technicians showed us the modules , for example the automatic routing, the cableways module, etc.
In the begining I great AVEVA for begin the webminar series, maybe in the future it will be more deep.

I'll see what they'll show us!
The people doing the demos are technical people and will be covering the new features such as the integrated pipe router, schematic integration, cableways, cabling, etc. Sit in on one and then tell us what you think. The next webinar is on PDMS 12 I believe.
Can I suggest that the session be recorded and then people can view it as they have time? Of course the ones in US can ask questions to the presenter.
I have done this with webex about 3 years ago already, and believe the technology is even more advanced these days.
Another idea, members here can post some items they want to see at the presentation and the presenter will try to accommodate them in their presentation.
I was invited by Doug to attend Intergraph's SP3D presentation in Japan and fortunate enough to make it. I wrote down the questions from the perspective of a PDMS user as the presentation went along, and then was able to ask the presenter many questions. They were able to answer me with live demo and some prepared video captures. That to me is a good presentation and accomplished its goal.
When I was with Cadcentre, I always dreaded the pre-sales demo where some sales guys who had no clue what they are selling but dragged you into. Since I have been on both sides of the fence, I can also appreciate the suspicion of users because I have seen some smoke and mirrors in those dog and pony shows.
I think many users on this site are technically oriented, so please "show me the money".
Many PDMS users have requested to learn about additional utilities that work with main platform. This series of webinars are product demonstrations and not intended to be training courses. In the future, AVEVA will host some technical workshops.
