These slides could be used in several ways. The drawings could be loaded onto a Tektronix tape drive and played back unattended with built-in pauses. This was very useful at exhibitions.
The tape could also be played back with a hand control, allowing a spoken commentary., and the drawings could be put onto an overhead projector.
I used Compaid on CDC6600 in London for British Steel in 1972/3 and some Isopipe customers 1974/5, on a machine I forget in Montreal again for an Isopipe customer in 1974, and sometimes on Davy's ICL 1903 in Sheffield in 1975. After joining PDMS development full-time I didn't actually run it again, just checked the output from PDMS by eye.
You want history? I worked for Isopipe Montreal between 1980-1985 and was hired at the same Beaconsfield office
We must have met at some time. In 1980 I was selling & supporting PDMS for Compeda from New Jersey, and 81 to 83 supporting Prime as they got up to speed with Medusa in Boston. I went to lots of exhibitions in the USA and Canada.
Do you know the date of that Isopipe NA brochure? I have asked Jim Madden but he cannot remember.
