I'm surprised to see only one topic here for ViewPoint. I guess everyone else is happy content with the Vantage products...;) AVEVA will be pleased to hear that!!:nerd:
5. Have the ability to make your own SKEY's.
Current SKEY's don't allow for me to be able to iso instrument bridles. Don't actually know the solution, but it would help if you could make a general component with any shape.
6. Flex-hose or similiar items need SKEY to be able to make 90 Degree turn. Currently they only allow for a straight item. I can build odd components in PARAGON but it don't do me any good if I can't tie it to an SKEY to be iso'd....!!!!!
7. Update design window by replacing the view manipulation indicators like (Rotate, Pan, Model, Parallel) with actual pick buttons for each to be toggled. I know, the "F" keys are right there....
I could go on, but these things should be in the wish list. Donna, when you say these things will be mentioned in the workshop, would that just be between VPA and users or will AVEVA be in attendance? So, as a user group, who inside VPA is responsible for keep a user wish list?
I for one would be very interested in knowing AVEVA's response you get from the wish list... Maybe VPA could post some of the discussions from the conference.
I am more than half way through my AVEVA career... I joined Cadcentre on 1 Oct 1985, and will reach 65 on 2 Aug 2025, in which case mid-career was 31 August last year (I meant to celebrate it with cakes, but forgot :( ).
However, current government plans will mean that the state pension age will be 66 by then, so maybe I will squeeze in a few more bugfixes...
