PDMS to CAESAR-II - Verified Accuracy

• Hello,

I might be biased but I think our new PDMS to C-II is the most effective translator available for the job. We tested it on small and big models alike and found it to convert with maximum accuracy and minimum effort.

The neat thing is, once you modify (if needed) the provided "mapping" files, all of your *material and support* info will show up in C-II along with the piping model data. Further, no edits necessary!

Test drive it...free download available.

Here is the announcement:

<<
Transfer your piping models with maximum accuracy and minimum effort with the new PDMS to CAESAR II translator.

PDMS to CAESAR II transfers pipe geometry, section and material properties and other engineering information from PDMS to COADE's pipe stress analysis software CAESAR II. User-configurable mapping files match PDMS materials and supports to valid CAESAR II material and support specifications. The resulting CAESAR II neutral file can be imported into CAESAR II with no further edits necessary prior to analysis. Watch an 11 minute video and download a free copy.

In addition to this translator, we offer PDMS to CAEPIPE translator and our revolutionary CheckStress (on PDMS) online pipe stress check tool. More information available at the above link.
>>

We have NOW over 20 translators in place - to bring data into CAEPIPE or CAESAR-II from different design platforms. Also, we can bring in data from STAAD.Pro and 3D-DXF. Free downloads for all is available at the link above.

Or send me an email with your question. Be glad to help.

• Forgot to mention that there is a video you can watch of the process of conversion at this link.

• Hello Victor,

By writing, "...a tool just like it...," are you referring to CheckStress or a translator such as SP3D to C-II?

If you are looking for a translator, SmartPlant to C-II, yes, we have that too. Just as efficient and accurate as the PDMS to C-II. Please let me know whether you would like an eval copy. We recently released this title.

Please confirm whether your software SP3D is configured to produce a PCF file.

We do not have our online stress check tool "CheckStress" for PDS or SP3D. It is available currently only for PDMS and CADMATIC.

Hi,

Is there a tool just like it to do analysis with the SP3D?

• Hello SSTUSA,

Could I have an evaluation  copy of SP3D to c-II?

thanks!

Calin
• Hello Calin,

All of our translators can be downloaded for evaluation from here.

Specifically, for the SP3D to C-II, you will need to download the PCF to C-II evaluation at the next link, and know how to have SP3D generate a PCF file of the line you are interested in. Download From Here

The page/download process will guide you through to activation of the software you download. Please be sure to read the instructions on the pages. Or, contact "support@sstusa.com" for help.

Thank you for your interest.

AVEVA already has an interface to do this called AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface (AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface for plant piping designers).  Is this application not sufficient?
• Ok, but I'm immersed in a topic of research and development. That is the reason for my need.

You have the specification of this format?

No I do not.  You would need to talk to Intergraph.
• I need to transfere data to CAESAR-II through AVEVA PSI 12.0SP6.8. The problem is that in my company
all projects are stored on file server. PSI itself works only with local (sample) projects.
May be somebody knows how to customize PSI for using projects that are located on file-server?
