we have been creating the Review files through the Mac and then creating the Navis work file using this Review Reality. we are also taking the Dump att for the Review Reality.
Now problem is that to some of the pipe pdms att is showing and in some of the pipe att menu is not apperaing atall. We have been trying to sort the problem with vendor for this but not going with success..
I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you're saying...
When you say that you "have been creating the Review files though the Mac", I suppose you mean you're using a macro file, and not a Macintosh. ;-)
You also say that you're "creating the Navisworks file using this Review Reality". That makes no sense - so I suppose that you mean you're creating a binary Review RVM file by Exporting it from PDMS, and that you're then reading that RVM file into Navisworks' Roamer using the RVM Reader add-on.
Next, you say that you're "taking the Dump att for the Review Reality". That also makes no sense. So I suppose you're Exporting an Attribute Dump from inside of PDMS. This attributes file has nothing to do with AVEVA Review - but supposedly it can be read and used in Navisworks.
When I tested this, I also had several usability problems. This was using the initial Navisworks v5 release. I had problems with both columnar-type attribute files and the DATAL-type attribute dumps. Navisworks claims to support both. In my tests, using either attribute file type, every attribute search would take a terribly long time to find any attribute data, and sometimes it didn't find any at all - even when I knew it was in there.
It sounds like you're asking the right folks for help (Navisworks). If you are under maintenance (bond) with Navisworks, then you should be able to upload the problem RVM and Attribute Dump file to them so they can diagnose the problem. I highly recommend using their own support site for that.
Thanks i will check up with navis work vendor for this.
I have forwarded this thread to NavisWorks support. I agree with SolidModeler and you should contact NavisWorks support for this query. If you are a "Bond Holder", you can get to the NavisWorks support portal at:

Can any body help for this
hello.. i think you can use the macro i posted.. it will collect all sites and then export dump attributes.. same as the format in utilities>export>dump attributes...
This is a attribute dump macro for generating text file for Navisworks Jetstream RVM Reader.
I made this from AVEVA supplied macro, it's 99% same as original.
It adds ABOR/LBOR ABOP/LBOP ITLE attribute of BRAN members to the output.
I prepared this for PDMS World members, so, this macro is not same as we are using in our office, and it's NOT FULLY TESTED (NO WARRANTY!!).
With standard attribute dump macro has problem with exporting data with deep hierarchy, which makes very long NAME.
This macro has fix for it.
Please see header of the macro file to know how to use it.
This is a PML2 function macro, so this file need to be placed under the folder pointed by environment variable %PMLLIB%, and %PMLLIB%\pml.index need to be deleted before next PDMS start.
hi harry have you tried checking the output in navisworks? i tried collecting all elements in design but i got problem when i load the rvm file in navis because our project has multiple mdbs... that's why i saved every site as a file so that it can have a heading per site... it easier for me that since im a newbie to pml..hehe....
