    In the past (70's, 80's & 90's) it was common (and necessary) to have two or more "levels" of 3D modelling detail.
    Less details/better performances (i.e. LEVEL 4) running PDMS on cheap and day-by-day hardware.
    More details (i.e. LEVEL 6) running PDMS on mainframes or high spec hw for design reviews with clients etc etc.
    Today this is probably meaningless.
    But LEVEL attribute is still there.
    And it's a range.
