PDMS V12 DRAFT - very slow

Hi all

I''m a contract piping designer currently we have switched to PDMS V12, so far everything seems good EXCEPT draft its running really slow.

Everytime i select a component from draft explorer it brings the hour glass up or if i am performing a function again it brings the hour glass up have to wait up to 5 seconds or somethimes more.

Using draft is bad enough but draft with added delays is the pits.

Have checked with PDMS admin but they say we have to wait for an add on package from aveva.

Has anyone else experienced this problem.

BTW my computer is a good one with plenty of ram and memory so its not the hard ware.

It could be your network.  Are you having a lot of traffic on the network?  I haven't heard of any other complaints.

The problem was resolved.

It was the Label pallette everytime i activated it it slowed down the whole draft session.

PDMS admin picked it up and tweaked the Label pallette now its running great.

Is this a custom pallette?

No it is the standard glab/slab pallette.

I dont know what the pdms administrator did but it works just fine now.

Cody, what are you talking about? I've encountered he same problem and looking for any ways to solve it...

Our draft is also very slow...please give more info.

I'm not sure how he solved it.  I wish people would post their solutions to help others.
