Read Only DB

Dear Expert

In module ADMIN at SATELLITE I have tried to INITIALISE the new LOCATION from --> PROJECT -->Initialise Location

then I have exit and re-enter but the NEW lOCATION is not yet initialised.

in the command window i give the comand :

Q LNIT

result LNIT FALSE

then I have tried to modify in command window

LNIT TRUE

but i have this message = (2,25) Read only DB


the TRANS database of this LOCATION is PRIMARY

what this means ?

what is the PDMS Global version and fix you are using... in some versions you have install the latest fix....
was the daemon running  and the communication between two locations successful?

global version is 12.14 and for other satellite of same project working fine.

the daemon running at HUB and at SATELLITE

But..... I have used --> query --> Global Status --> Comunications

and

the check SATELLITE to HUB = SUCCESS
the check HUB to satellite  =   - A daemon is unreachable between HUB and DMM    [ Path: PROJECTHUB LDMM ]

Does the Hub has DAC turned On... This may cause issue some times.....
I hope you have logged in the project by user SYSTEM....

so did you add the  Ip address on the Host file.....

 

Sorry....where I have to add the IP in HOST file ? have you and image as example ?

 

IP address adding is mandatory if the Global connection is established by a SSL VPN.....
Are you using any VPN to bypass the firewall.....

if not IP address adding is not required....
As the communication is one way I suppose the satellite port opened is not reading the required IP address or the required port at satellite  is not opened..... check with HUB requirement to open the ports.....

what is the Global setup is it RPC or WCF?
