[QUOTE=Sargon;112612]Hello Deva
For a 6'' flange (ASME B16.5) #2500 RTJ, we have a groove thickness of 12.7 mm and the overall length of the flange is 285.7 mm
What i understand from your reply is:
in the flange catalogue, the overall length is 273 mm
in the gasket catalogue, the thickness is 25.4 mm
Am i right Deva?
thank you for your reply.
Groove Width is provided for Flanges?
From Gasket Overall thickness subtract these groove widths from two flanges.
e.g. gasket thickness 25.4
groove width for flange 1 is 7, groove width is for flange 2 is 7
Now your gasket thickness is 25.4 - 7 - 7 = 25.4 - 14 = 11.4
