Inconsistent Weight of MITRE BENDS - brwei = 0kg issue

Hello all, I have an urgent problem I need help with.

I have set up Mitre Bends in Paragon E3D with NCUTS -1, no geometry and weight parameter set up in kg/m. In the specification, I assigned a TUBD Component reference.

The issue is; while my branch brwei seems to be correct, the mitre bends themselves evaluate brwei to 0 kg. Due to this, the weight of spools displayed in spooldrawings differs.

If anyone encountered and solved this issue; I would be most grateful for help!

Here are brwei and gwei values of a test pipe:

Brwei of Spldrg (same results if I select spool)

My Mitre bend in Paragon:

NOTE: i tested this with WEIG as parameter 5 and got same results:

Spec:

TUBD:

EDIT:

Might be useful to know; I have set up some pulled bends for bendmachine in a similar fashion, using the same WEIG formula and TUBD element, and they work fine.

  • Thank you Corrado, I will. I have been stuck experimenting with this and I have found the issue specifically occurs when TUBD used for MITRE bend and TUBE in the given specification uses an expression instead of an explicit number for UWEI.

For now, I have patched this issue up by using a different TUBD for each DN / pipe thickness, but I am e-mailing them ASAP.

Will get back with results when I get any, so far posting the unhappy fix if others are fighting this issue.

    I used ( REAL ( ( PARA[2 ] - PWALLT(1) ) * PI * 7.85 * PWALLT(1) * 1 / 1000000 ) ) to calculate UWEI values in excel.
