as pitch said try it and see what comes and if you want to modify or make it user defined you may refer to this part of specon manual:
3.3.6 Subtype Selectors: A Special Case
Dear My Friends,
Thanks For Your Kind Attention
I Can Do That You Said About That.
But
I Think PDMS has A Procedure For Showing Attributes In CHOO Window
I Want Know That Procedure?
Thanks
i'm checking now documentation of specon and your answers and tips but:
i was create brand new SPECification by NEW SPEC and first new SELEction by NEW SELE
talking about gtype of component and asking about bore and next one talking about bore size 15 and asking abour catref
next i put in to this few of spco - for test only
next i save this modification and get work in the outfitting module and create new components ...
i have only one category of components to choose and this is correct but when i choose this and click CREATE
i see CHOOSE window with only one column but in this column i have information about Gtype, Desc of CATE or Rtext of Detref (i do not know exacly becouse i have the same strings there ;P ) and third one - information about material.
in this situation i thing that not only headings are responsable for this situation (just like said Maysamab - there must be something else) because i have Gtype - but i do not ask about that, i have desc of cate or rtext of detref - but i don't ask about that, and the last one i have information about material but i don't ask about too.
next one problem - only one thing or information about i ask in spec is CATREF and i don't have one.
according to this situation - maby somebody know how can i put to this CHOOSE table CATREF attrib - or the NAME of SCOM form my CATE ??
Specon manual is good but i can't find my problem solutions
The whole idea of crating the spec and the display in the choose list is that the designer does not need to know the Catref. It is not there for the Cats & Specs guy.
The Catref is just a shape with ppoints
How will the designer know which one to choose if he has a list of Catrefs such as
That is going to mean absolutely nothing to him. He has no idea what type of flange it is, what rating, what wall thickness (if applicable) or what material.
in my catalogue until yesterday i do'nt need catref in the choose table because description like Cunipres mufe-mufe bend 90d was be absolutly enogh. But situation caused that i need this number - because i'm using to name SCOMs catalogue no of the part and i have four pcs of 3-way instruments with exacly the same GMSE and PTSE (parametrised) and only one difference betwen - catalogue no. Maby this is my faul but designer have CHOOSE table witch RTEXT of DETREF - like i wrote erlier - for four pcs exacly the same. For correctly identification of instrument he need CATREF (catalogue no) of the chosen component.
What do you think about that ? Maby faster and easier for me would be to devide CATE of elements and add cat no to RTEXT of DETREF ?
This is some type of solution of this problem but i try to use all of the capacity of the system witch i'm using.
Maby this modification is not to able to do without modifing pml scripts but i don't be afraid of that only were is it ?
If it is for instruments They will each have a different tag number (name).
Use the name as your STYP in the spec. The user then only needs to select the correct number as shown on the P&ID.
Enterthe STYP in the spec as TEXT 'PCV-123' or whatever the number is
In the Choose list he will see that number.
