    [QUOTE=bh0nst]Hello,
i have some problems with lines LDASHED and DASHED in PlotViewer.
    These lines appear very separated.
    Somebody has these problems?

    bye.

Actually we had the same problem when printing. It was especially annoying when small details needed to be shown with dashed lines.
The solution I did was to create a user defined pen with very fine dashed lines.

    /Thomas

    Hello Tback,
so, there is no solution for PlotView.
I am going to try changing the definition of the lines.
    Thanks.

Actually this ha snothing to do with PlotView itself. The same problem also comes in our full-scale PDFs that we generate from PDMS.

OK. Here are a few of the special pens I have set up for draft.

-- Concrete glyph - middle of line
    LGLYPH 22 STA EXT 37 PARC 10 0 180 -10 0 180 10 0
    LGLYPH 22 ADD BRE PARC 25 -13 180 15 -13 180 25 -13
    LGLYPH 22 ADD BRE PARC 27 7 180 22 7 180 27 7

    LPICTURE 33 MODE 3 SIZE 2 REPEAT 4 GAP 50000
SETPEN 213 COL 1 THIN SOLID LPICTURE 33 GLYPH 22

    LPICTURE 34 MODE 3 SIZE 1 REPEAT 2 GAP 50000
SETPEN 214 COL 1 THIN SOLID LPICTURE 34 GLYPH 22

    -- Special fine dotted pen.
    LGLYPH 23 STA EXT 500 PLI -250 0 -150 0 BRE PLI 150 0 250 0
    LPICTURE 35 MODE 3 SIZE 4 REPEAT 4 GAP 50000
SETPEN 172 COL 1 THIN SOLID LPICTURE 35 GLYPH 23

Copy the above line definitions into the file %PDMSDFLTS%\DRA-GEN-LINDEF
Next time you start draft you should be able to test the pens on any STRA element, by typing: NLPEN 172 (for the fine dotted line)

I also made some special pens for the civil guys who wanted to show the concrete "hatching" on some drawings. This are the pens 213 and 214.

    Hope this helps you.

    /Thomas

Let me just resurrect this thread for a moment, it's been very helpful for me in defining the LPATTERN of pen.

We had a problem that dashed line turned up like solid line in PLOT, with very few breaks in between.

My solution was to open DRA-GEN-LINDEF file and add the line

    LPATTERN 11 REP  2 DASH 1 GAP 1 DASH 1

then I reffered to the LPATTERN in file DRA-PENS in following way:

    DEVPEN 171 Colour 2 DASH LTHICK 1 PLUS SCALE 1 LPATTERN 11
    PLOTPEN 171 Colour 2 DASH LTHICK 1 PLUS SCALE 1 LPATTERN 11

and when I used PLOTPEN 171 for certain style I required, I got a very nice dashed line in PLOT.

Hope this helps other people searching for this solution.
