Hello All!

Hello All!

I am new to the OSI Pi software, as I previously worked at Emerson and am very much more familiar with their historian and data collection. At my new company however, they are using Pi across their fleet.

Within my first week I was notified of an issue and was looking for some troubleshooting ideas being so new at this. At one of our remote sites, we have a combustion turbine that is utilizing a SEL 3355 as the RTU and then this transmits data to the main Pi server at a manned plant. I guess for about a year now, they have lost communication with the SEL 3355, or they can no longer see any of the Pi points. Where is a good place to start in troubleshooting this?

Thanks everyone in advance!

  • Hello Rhine,

To commence our investigation, could you please verify the status of the network connection? Additionally, it would be helpful if you could provide a concise overview of your PI system configuration.

Could you confirm if there is any ICCP software facilitating communication between your PI system and the other system?

Lastly, I would appreciate it if you could specify which PI interface you are currently utilizing.

    Best regards,

    Mohammad
