If I remember correctly, that project is an 11.2 project. You can't upgrade directly to 11.6, you have to first upgrade it to 11.3, then 11.4 then you can open it up in 11.6. Also make sure that username and password is a Free user, not a General user.

When you installed pdms the manuals accompanying the software also got installed, not sure which directory they go to? (search windows for 'pdms manuals').
If you are new to this you will have to read the basic sections of the manuals. They describe how pdms is set up for instance:-
data bases
teams
enviroment bat file
and so on.
Basically, to enter the info you are asking for you first have to set the parameters.

I have a problem when running PDMS. I'm newbe to this, but I have to learn it now to support my job. It's urgent
I've installed it successful (PDMS ver 11.5). The first time I run it, everything worked well. A window appeared and asked me to type UseName, Passwork, Project, MDB .... Because this is the first time I work with this soft and I don't know how to fill in exactly, so I try many time. And after that, a message box appear says that something wrong (I don't remember exaclty what it said). But after that I couldn't open PDMS again when I click "Run PDMS".
I did Remove and Reinstall PDMS, but nothing new. I'm really confused.
Does anyone this problem? Please help me. Thanks inadvance for all help.
If you've installed PDMS using simple next>>next>> finish philosophy then:
1. The shortcut should point to pdms.bat file.
2. The manuals that 'ianmp' has referred above will be in C:\AVEVA\Pdms11.5\manuals folder.
3. There's a list of common passwords that have been set already. Generally, following should work fine User: SYSTEM, Password: XXXXXX and MDB: SAMPLE

I recently bought my new laptop from US & it has came up with Windows Home Premium 64 bit. Now I am trying to install our most favourite programme PDMS 11.5 in my new laptop & facing lot of troubles & not able to do anything with it.
PDMS is exited is the last message.
What is wrong? Does any version of PDMS works in Windows 7 ??

even I am trying to downgrade my WINDOWS 7 system to WINDOWS XP for the same reason but that is also a problematic thing because I am not able to get drivers for HPdv6-1355dx model of my laptop.
I am really getting frustrated because it is one month & I am not able to do anything regarding PDMS in my laptop.
